Baghdad: Chelsea secured a crucial 4-3 victory against Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the second round of the English Premier League.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Romeo Lavia opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 4th minute, setting the tone for an intense match. Brighton quickly responded with a goal by Neto in the 14th minute. Chelsea regained the lead when Joo Pedro found the back of the net in the 32nd minute, but Brighton’s Malik Yallakwei equalized three minutes later.
The second half saw an own goal by Joo Pedro in the 63rd minute, putting Brighton temporarily level. However, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer scored in the 74th minute, securing the lead once again. Despite a late goal by Pascal Gro€š¬…¡¬¦¸ in the 90+6 minute, Chelsea managed to hold on to their lead and secure the win.
