Fenerbahce Triumphs Over Samsunspor with a 2-0 Victory in Turkish Super League


Samsun: Turkish striker Oguz Aydin led Fenerbah§e to a valuable 2-0 victory over hosts Samsunspor in their match on Sunday evening at the “New 19 Mayis Stadium,” as part of the third round of the Turkish Super League.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fenerbah§e opened the scoring early in the third minute through Kosovar striker Vedat Muriqi, who capitalized on a precise cross from Oguz Aydin inside the penalty area, controlling the ball before expertly firing it into the net.



Muriqi almost added a second goal in the 32nd minute, rising to meet a cross from Englishman Archie Brown and heading it towards goal, but the crossbar denied him.



In the second half, Oguz Aydin secured the visitors’ second goal in the 49th minute, receiving a decisive pass from Irfan Kahveci following a swift counter-attack. He then unleashed a left-footed shot from a tight angle that nestled into the roof of the net.



With this victory, Fenerbah§e raised their points tally to 6, moving up to third place in the standings, just one point behind joint leaders Galatasaray and Gen§lerbirligi. This win provides a significant morale boost ahead of their highly anticipated derby match against Besiktas in the next round.



Meanwhile, Samsunspor remain on 4 points in ninth place after suffering their first defeat of the season.



In another match, Basaksehir drew 1-1 with Kasimpasa. The home side took the lead through Uzbek player Eldor Shomurodov in the 18th minute, before substitute Fousseni Diabat© equalized for Kasimpasa in the 81st minute.



Earlier, Eypspor secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Alanyaspor. Alanyaspor opened the scoring early through Arda Usluglu in the first minute, but the home side responded with goals from Nigerian Ahmed Abdullah and Englishman Zac Jules in the 39th and 90+4th minutes, respectively.
