Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Aboudi affirmed on Monday that the government of Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi was moving forward with combating corruption and eliminating terrorism.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the National Security Adviser released a statement saying that Qasim Al-Aboudi had a meeting with Counter-Terrorism Service Commander Lieutenant General Zaid Hawshi. The discussion focused on issues of mutual concern, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the momentum of security efforts to ensure the country’s security and stability.
Al-Aboudi commended the efforts of the Counter-Terrorism Service, highlighting its crucial role within the security and military framework. He acknowledged the Service’s significant responsibilities in reinforcing security foundations, stability, and preserving national unity.
He further mentioned that the government under Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi is actively pursuing its agenda to combat corruption, eliminate terrorism, and continue the comprehensive reform process.
