Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi has issued a directive for private generators to be supplied with fuel at a subsidized price for the month of September. The initiative mandates that 40 liters of fuel per hour/watt be provided at a cost of 400 dinars per liter.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Zaidi’s media office outlined that the directive also includes a requirement for adherence to the currently approved operating hours. Private generators are to operate for a minimum of 20 hours per day, alternating with the national grid. This measure aims to ensure a stable and sustainable electricity supply for citizens during the specified period.
