Governor of Maysan Inaugurates New Facilities at University of Maysan’s Petroleum Engineering Department


Maysan: The Governor of Maysan, Habib Thahir Al-Fartousi, has inaugurated a significant project comprising classrooms and laboratories for the Petroleum Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Maysan. This project is part of the governorate’s strategic plan and budget allocations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Fartousi highlighted that the development is in line with the local government’s commitment to bolstering educational institutions and improving university services and infrastructure, particularly in scientific and engineering fields. This initiative aims to create an enhanced academic environment that caters to the needs of both students and faculty.



The project spans an area of approximately 1,000 square meters and features three floors. The ground floor includes six classrooms and two restrooms. On the first floor, there are three classrooms, the department head’s office, several administrative offices, and two restrooms. The second floor consists of six classrooms, laboratories, and two restrooms.
