Diyala: The Military Intelligence Agency announced on Monday the capture of three terrorists in Diyala and Anbar.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Intelligence Agency stated that the arrests were made following directives from the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and with the supervision of the Director of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant General Hassan Jawad Al-Silawi. The operations aimed at enhancing security and stability across the country, focusing on eradicating remaining terrorist threats and those wanted by the judiciary. The arrests were based on precise intelligence information and were executed through well-planned ambushes by the detachments of the Directorate in the First, Fifth, and Seventh Infantry Divisions.
The statement further noted that previous arrest warrants had been issued against the accused under the provisions of Article (1/4) of the Counter-Terrorism Law. The captured individuals have been handed over to the competent authorities to proceed with the necessary legal procedures.
