Erbil: Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and National Wisdom Movement leader Ammar al-Hakim emphasized on Monday the importance of continuing efforts to develop relations between Erbil and Baghdad and resolving outstanding issues through dialogue and understanding.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Kurdistan Region Presidency stated in a press release that President Nechirvan Barzani received Ammar al-Hakim and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The leaders stressed the necessity of ongoing efforts to improve relations between the two regions and to address unresolved issues through dialogue and understanding. They also expressed their support for the federal government in executing its responsibilities and ministerial program.
