Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Monday to participate in the 166th regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that Hussein will head the Iraqi delegation participating in the session being held today. The meeting aims to address the pressing issues and challenges faced by the member states.

The statement added that the Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with a number of Arab foreign ministers. These meetings will focus on discussing the most prominent issues and files on the Council’s agenda, as well as regional developments of common interest.
