Diyala: The coach of the Diyala football team, Qais al-Yaqubi, has expressed determination to deliver a strong performance against Erbil, despite the challenges posed by a recent defeat and ongoing financial difficulties faced by the club.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Yaqubi addressed the media at a press conference held at the Diyala Sports Club headquarters. He emphasized that the loss to al-Karma would not hinder their efforts in the upcoming match. “Tomorrow we face Erbil, a strong team currently leading the standings, and we aim to deliver a good performance and achieve positive results that will please our fans,” he stated.

Player Ali Khalid echoed the coach’s sentiments, acknowledging the strength of their opponents while maintaining a positive outlook. “Erbil is a strong team, but we are determined to achieve a positive result, make up for the recent loss, and deliver a performance that satisfies the coaching staff and our fans,” Khalid declared.
