Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Aboudi affirmed that Iraq pursues a balanced foreign policy based on building solid and balanced relations with the countries of the world. According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi met with Kelly Al-Khouli, Director of International Relations at the Center for Foreign Affairs, to discuss issues of mutual interest and the latest developments at regional and international levels, alongside ways to enhance security and stability in the region.

Al-Aboudi emphasized Iraq’s commitment to a foreign policy that promotes solid and balanced relationships with countries worldwide, especially within its region. He highlighted Iraq’s active role in supporting peace and stability initiatives, advocating for resolving crises and disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means. This approach, he noted, helps consolidate regional security and enhances opportunities for peaceful coexistence.

Additionally, Al-Aboudi mentioned that the Iraqi government is fully engaged in implementing its program to strengthen state institutions and improve their performance. This strategy is part of an integrated vision to enhance the efficiency of national institutions, enabling them to effectively address challenges and build a stable and sustainable environment.

In response, Al-Khouli reiterated Iraq’s pivotal role in the region, underscoring its strategic importance in supporting sustainable development initiatives. She noted that Iraq’s economic and political stability is a crucial factor in promoting stability and development at the regional level.
