Baghdad: Cooperation between the Human Rights Office in Kurdistan and Baghdad has resulted in a positive reflection on the human rights situation before international forums. Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Ziyad Khalifa al-Tamimi, affirmed that cooperation between the Human Rights Office in Kurdistan and Baghdad has yielded positive results for Iraq’s human rights record in international forums.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Justice stated in a press release: “Al-Tamimi met with the head of the Office of the Coordinator of International Recommendations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dindar Zebari, and his accompanying delegation.”

The Senior Undersecretary emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Coordinator of International Recommendations in the field of human rights, explaining that this cooperation has contributed to supporting efforts in preparing national human rights reports and enhancing Iraq’s presence in international forums.

Al-Tamimi pointed to the importance of the joint efforts exerted in preparing human rights reports and the positive results achieved, which have impacted Iraq’s presence in international forums. He stressed the importance of continuing coordination and exchanging expertise between the two sides.

For his part, Dindar Zebari expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Justice, commending the Human Rights Department’s efforts and its cooperation with the Office of the Coordinator of International Recommendations in preparing human rights reports and strengthening joint work.
