Balad: The Civil Defense Directorate announced that a fire at Balad General Hospital was brought under control without any casualties.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated that Civil Defense teams successfully managed to control the fire, which broke out in a medical supplies warehouse at the hospital. The incident occurred early in the morning, and fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
The statement detailed that upon arrival at the scene, specialized teams immediately initiated an emergency evacuation plan for patients. This was done alongside efforts to extinguish the fire, which helped contain the blaze. The extinguishing and cooling operations were completed in record time, preventing the fire from spreading to other hospital sections.
Furthermore, the relevant authorities have taken necessary measures, including the initiation of an official investigation. A forensic expert has been summoned to determine the cause of the fire.
