Erdogan Asserts Turkey’s Commitment to Peace Amid Regional Tensions

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has affirmed that Turkey is not opposed to any country, society, or belief, but it will not remain passive in the face of hostile actions. Speaking after a cabinet meeting in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized the country’s stance on maintaining peace and stability while being prepared to respond to any threats.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan stated that Turkey’s strength and pursuit of peace in the region should not be seen as a deterrent by other nations. He asserted that Turkey will not allow any operations on its soil and that its path as an independent and prosperous nation must not be obstructed.

Erdogan highlighted Turkey’s balanced and calm approach, cautioning against any ambitions that might arise from this stance. He reiterated the country’s commitment to unity and solidarity, stressing that alliances are central to Turkey’s policy.

He further remarked that those allied with Turkey will benefit, while adversaries will face losses. Erdogan assured that Turkey will continue to uphold its history and traditions, following in the footsteps of its ancestors.

Despite geopolitical risks and pressures on oil prices from the Strait of Hormuz crisis, Erdogan confirmed Turkey’s ongoing support for investment, employment, and production.
