Cairo: The 166th session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers has begun in Cairo. The meeting, chaired by Jordan, is focused on discussing the Israeli settlement project “E1” and its implications for Jerusalem and the West Bank.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministers are also addressing the ongoing crises in Sudan and Libya, the Palestinian issue, tensions in the Middle East, the Strait of Hormuz, and maritime security in the Red Sea. The discussions aim to align Arab positions in preparation for the United Nations General Assembly and to seek international support for the rights of the Palestinian people and the protection of crucial waterways.
