Ankara: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi departed for Ankara on Monday, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, for a visit to Turkey at the invitation of Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmus.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Halbousi’s office indicated that the visit aims to strengthen parliamentary relations and discuss several issues of mutual interest. The delegation’s agenda includes meetings with Turkish officials to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two nations’ legislative bodies.
