Baghdad: The Security Media Cell announced on Wednesday that the Iraqi Air Force had destroyed terrorist hideouts in Wadi al-Shay. In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Cell said: “Continuing the strategy of pursuit and direct pressure on the remaining terrorist remnants, and affirming the high state of readiness of our heroic armed forces to pursue, defeat, and strike terrorist gangs and their hideouts wherever they are found-and acting on precise intelligence from the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service, in coordination with the Targeting Cell of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces’ office, and following surveillance and tracking of the movements of ISIS terrorist gang members-‘Air Falcons’ pilots carried out four precision airstrikes using F-16 aircraft. These strikes targeted terrorist safe houses and hideouts in Wadi al-Shay, within the Salah al-Din Operations Command sector, resulting in the complete destruction of the designated targets.”
According to Iraqi News Agency, the statement added: “Our security forces, across all branches and formations, assure our proud people that they will remain the watchful eye and the striking hand against anyone who dares to threaten the nation’s security and stability; terrorists will find no safe haven on Iraqi soil.”
