Quneitra: Israeli military forces have advanced into the Quneitra countryside, and the Israeli army has opened fire on a neighborhood in a village in Daraa. Israeli incursions into southern Syria continue daily, particularly near the border strip where most military operations are concentrated.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, local sources in Quneitra reported that an Israeli military force consisting of five vehicles entered the village of Ain al-Abd in the province’s countryside, launching from the Israeli military base at Tell al-Ahmar al-Gharbi, which the Israeli army established after the fall of the previous Syrian regime. No information was available regarding the arrest of any Syrian citizens.
Sources in Daraa also reported that an Israeli military force stationed at the al-Jazira barracks, located on the outskirts of the village of Ma’ariya in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa countryside, fired on the western neighborhood of the village. No casualties were reported.
Yesterday, the Israeli Air Force concentrated its sorties over the Yarmouk Basin and areas adjacent to the border, and also covered large areas of southern Syria, which is experiencing a state of anticipation and caution, often exacerbated by the ambiguity surrounding the Israeli field objectives and the military purpose behind these movements.
