Basra: The Basra Directorate General of Education, School Activities Department, actively participated in the annual Ministry of Education Festival of Religious Chanting, which took place from September 8th to 10th. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Directorate General of Physical Education and School Activities, and was hosted by the Third Karkh Directorate General of Education.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Education Media Office reported that the Basra Education delegation presented a religious chant titled “The Essence of Tolerance.” The chant featured lyrics by poet Salah al-Din Assi and music composed by artist Fadhil Thahir. It was performed by artistic supervisor Saleh Talib, who was accompanied by the School Activities Department’s musical ensemble.

The performance was met with significant admiration and appreciation from the audience for its artistic execution, which effectively combined the beauty of the lyrics with the melody. This reception highlighted the presence of artistic and educational talent within the Directorate.

The Basra Education Directorate’s involvement in this festival aligns with efforts to support school and artistic activities and enhance ministerial participation. This participation contributes to discovering talents and developing the creative abilities of students and educational staff.
