Baghdad: Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Nouri, chaired an expanded meeting of senior ministry staff on Wednesday to discuss the current state of public companies and their production and financial plans.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that the meeting explored ways to maximize revenues, improve the financial performance of companies, and develop their production and marketing activities. The aim is to enhance their competitiveness and increase their contribution to meeting the needs of the local market and government ministries for domestically produced goods.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of monitoring the implementation of the government program’s objectives according to the established timelines. Reviewing progress rates is crucial to ensure the achievement of set goals and to raise the level of institutional and productive performance across the ministry’s various departments.
