The Baghdad International Book Fair Showcases Seminars and Cultural Activities


Baghdad: The 27th Baghdad International Book Fair, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, continued to attract attendees with an array of social, cinematic, and cultural activities on its ninth day. A seminar titled “Civil Society Organizations and Social Solidarity: Orphan Care as a Model” highlighted the importance of establishing specialized institutions dedicated to orphan care and creating a comprehensive system of social solidarity.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the day’s events also included a seminar by the Captain Farid Foundation for Space and Aviation Sciences, titled “Prospects for the Future of Space.” This session explored the future of space and aviation sciences, emphasizing development and innovation within the field.



On the cinematic front, a dialogue session entitled “From Baghdad to the World: Cinema Creates Dialogue” was held to discuss the current state of cinema, its potential for growth, and strategies to enhance its presence on local and international platforms.



In addition to the seminars, the Dar Sahar Al-Qalam Publishing House pavilion hosted a book signing ceremony for “Nations Like Yourselves” by Dr. Muhammad Hashim Al-Nasiri. The event drew prominent scientific, academic, intellectual, and cultural figures, facilitating discussions on a wide range of scientific and cultural topics.
