Baghdad: The General Company for Railways is actively engaged in upgrading its specialized train carriages. The company is undertaking efforts to rehabilitate and maintain its broken-down specialized railcars and trucks. This initiative aims to enhance transport capacity and maximize the utilization of available assets.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the rehabilitation work is being conducted at the West Baghdad Truck Unit, which is part of the Central Baghdad Region. The work involves repairing and replacing damaged and worn parts of several trucks and specialized trolleys used for transporting and laying stone.
The company’s Director General, Mohammed Habib Jabr, has affirmed the continuation of the rehabilitation and maintenance programs. He highlighted the importance of utilizing available technical capabilities to return as many vehicles as possible to service. This effort is expected to increase fleet efficiency and support the company’s goal of boosting revenue and becoming a profitable enterprise.
