Baghdad: The Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra delivered a spectacular musical evening at the Iraqi National Theatre, directed by Maestro Mohammed Amin Ezzat. The event witnessed the presence of Acting Minister of Culture Sarwa Abdul Wahid, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Cultural Affairs Fadhil Al-Badrani, and a large audience that filled the theatre’s amphitheater.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Undersecretary Al-Badrani highlighted the significance of music and arts in promoting peace and stability. He stated that such events convey a cultural and civilizational message, showcasing Iraq’s openness to the world. The Ministry remains committed to supporting artistic and cultural activities that foster a culture of beauty, coexistence, and peace.

During the evening, the orchestra re-performed “Bolero” after approximately 41 years, featuring percussionist Abdul Azim Sabri, who had originally performed the piece more than four decades ago. Sabri was honored for his illustrious artistic career, marking a memorable highlight of the evening.
