Baquba: Two people were killed in separate incidents in Diyala Governorate today. According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police source reported that a man working at the Imam al-Khidr shrine was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident. The tragic event occurred as the man attempted to cross the main Baghdad-al-Khalis road, situated north of Baquba.

The source further revealed that another individual lost his life in a separate incident on the outskirts of al-Khalis district, also north of Baquba. This man died after falling from a palm tree he had climbed. Both incidents underscore the recurring dangers present in the region, affecting the lives of local residents.
