Baghdad: The 27th Baghdad International Book Fair, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, continues its series of cultural, intellectual, and economic seminars.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the fair hosted a seminar titled “Understanding the Labor Market: From Waiting to Creating Opportunities,” focusing on labor market demands, skills development, and the future of artificial intelligence, exploring its emerging opportunities.

The Al-Daleel Foundation at the Imam Hussein Shrine contributed to the event with a seminar called “The Intellectual Education Project: Religious and Philosophical Thought,” presented by Dr. Saleh Al-Waeli. This seminar delved into the role of education in fostering awareness and developing critical thinking and dialogue skills.

On the intellectual front, the American University of Baghdad featured a seminar titled “Ali Al-Wardi: A Social and Intellectual Journey,” presented by Dr. Ali Hakim Saleh and moderated by Dr. Nasser Al-Hajjaj. The discussion focused on Al-Wardi’s legacy and his methodology in analyzing the Iraqi personality and social phenomena.

Additionally, the Cultural Seminars Hall hosted a seminar titled “Iraq’s Finances: Between the Deficit Trap and Paths to Financial Sustainability.” This session, featuring a presentation by the former Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Dr. Ali Al-Alaq, and a discussion moderated by Haider Ghazi, addressed the challenges of the fiscal deficit, the rentier economy, and strategies to achieve financial sustainability.
