Iraq Becomes Tenth Largest Oil Supplier to United States

Washington: Iraq ranked tenth among the top oil suppliers to America last week. Data released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Sunday showed that Iraq ranked tenth among the largest suppliers of crude oil to the United States last week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Canada topped the list of suppliers with 3.926 million barrels per day (bpd), followed by Venezuela, then Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Colombia. Brazil came in sixth with 235,000 bpd, followed by Nigeria, Argentina, and Guyana. Iraq ranked tenth with 46,000 bpd, an increase compared to the previous week’s 38,000 bpd.

This rise comes after fluctuations in Iraqi supplies to US markets in recent weeks due to regional security tensions.
