Kirkuk Mayor Warns Citizens Against Purchasing Illegally Built Properties

Kirkuk: The mayor of Kirkuk city, Avista Sheikh Mohammed, has issued a warning to residents about the risks associated with purchasing land and houses constructed illegally on state property. She also cautioned against dealing with unlicensed real estate offices.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the mayor emphasized the importance of vigilance among citizens to avoid being exploited by certain real estate offices. She pointed out that the sale and purchase of illegally constructed properties primarily harm citizens themselves, particularly those with limited financial resources.

Furthermore, the mayor highlighted the establishment of a dedicated committee tasked with monitoring and preventing illegal encroachments on state-owned land. The committee is also responsible for pursuing those involved in such activities and taking necessary legal actions against them.
