Al ain: The 14th Terra International Conference on Earth Architecture is set to take place in Al Ain next April. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the International Scientific Committee for Earth Architecture Heritage (CIEMAR), has announced that the event will be hosted from April 19 to 22, 2027.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference dates were established after a comprehensive evaluation process in cooperation with key partners. This process aimed to ensure the participation of leading experts, operational excellence, and an exceptional experience for all attendees.
The 2027 edition of the conference is particularly significant as it marks the first time the event will be held in the Arab region. The conference will be hosted on the Terra World Platform in Al Ain, an area renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage sites and its rich heritage of earth architecture and diverse cultural landscapes.
The conference is expected to gather leading researchers, practitioners, and heritage experts from around the globe. The theme for the event, “Managing Change in Terrain Cultural Landscapes,” will focus on discussing strategies to protect, preserve, and safeguard heritage amidst contemporary environmental, cultural, and urban challenges.
