Baghdad: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the commencement of online applications for the College of Excellence in Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Kufa for the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry specified that applicants must be graduates of secondary school from the 2025/2026 academic year, covering both the first and second semesters. The application prerequisites include a minimum final average of 70% and at least a 75% grade in Arabic. Prospective students must also successfully complete both academic and personal interviews to secure admission.

The Ministry highlighted that graduates from both the scientific and literary branches are eligible to apply to the college’s various departments, which include Linguistic Studies, Literary Studies, and Rhetorical and Critical Studies.

The Ministry further noted that all applications should be submitted via the “Qadam Platform” application, with submissions open until Sunday, October 4, 2026.
