Higher Committee Discusses One Million Plots Initiative in Kirkuk


Kirkuk: The Higher Committee for Coordination between Governorates convened a pivotal meeting to discuss the implementation of the one million plots of land initiative in Kirkuk. This meeting was led by Ahmed Abdul Zahra Al-Fatlawi, who serves as both the General Coordinator for Governorate Affairs and the head of the committee responsible for surveying and preparing land as part of the Prime Minister’s initiative. Key figures in attendance included the Governor of Kirkuk, Mohammed Saman Agha, and the Head of the Provincial Council, Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Hafiz.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on evaluating the lands designated by the Kirkuk Governorate for the initiative, scrutinizing their potential to meet the project’s objectives while considering the region’s distinct characteristics and social fabric. Al-Fatlawi highlighted the committee’s commitment to identifying lands that are both suitable and viable within the framework of the initiative, ensuring that the specific needs and circumstances of Kirkuk’s residents are addressed. He also underscored the ongoing efforts of relevant committees to navigate challenges and meet the initiative’s requirements in line with established regulations.
