Iraq Commits to Comprehensive Development and Economic Resilience


Paris: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi has emphasized Iraq’s strong commitment to pursuing comprehensive development and building an economy capable of facing current challenges. During a meeting in Paris with Anne-Claire Legendre, President of the Arab World Institute, al-Zaidi highlighted the government’s efforts to diversify resources and attract investments.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of enhancing Iraqi-French relations, particularly in cultural and social spheres. The Prime Minister’s office released a statement asserting Iraq’s dedication to playing a significant role in shaping regional and international solutions. Al-Zaidi reiterated the government’s focus on creating a resilient economy through diversification and investment attraction.



Al-Zaidi also stressed the necessity of combating extremism and discrimination, emphasizing Iraq’s commitment to a model based on equality, justice, and respect for others. He highlighted the importance of preserving the rule of law, strengthening institutions, and guaranteeing citizens’ rights.



President Anne-Claire Legendre expressed her support for Iraq’s economic vision, highlighting the significance of bilateral relations. She announced plans to organize a large-scale cultural exhibition in Iraq to bolster cultural and social connections between the two nations, contributing to stability and prosperity.
