Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi and Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi have underscored the significance of cooperation to enhance integration in institutional work during a meeting held in Baghdad. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Justice Khalid Shawani.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the presidential statement revealed that the meeting focused on the need for collaboration between the Presidency and Parliament to foster integration in institutional operations. Discussions centered on legislative coordination and the importance of enacting laws that directly impact citizens’ lives and interests, aiming to establish appropriate legal frameworks to address their needs and everyday issues.

The statement also highlighted that the meeting covered the general situation in the country, developments on the national scene, and several files and issues that necessitate ongoing work and understanding among state institutions.
