Erbil: Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has announced that one million employees will now receive their salaries electronically through banks approved by the Central Bank of Iraq. This marks a significant milestone in the region’s financial management and banking infrastructure.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani declared the completion of the “My Account” banking project, which facilitates this transition to electronic salary distribution. In a press statement, the Prime Minister detailed that the project will be implemented within this week, allowing citizens in the region to receive their salaries through partner banks. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize financial transactions and improve efficiency in payroll distribution for government employees in the Kurdistan Region.
