Karbala: Police units in the holy city of Karbala arrested two suspects in connection with a murder in the Al-Hindiya district. A police statement indicated that units from the Al-Hindiya police station, with support from the Karbala Criminal Investigation Department, solved the murder of a citizen who was stabbed to death and arrested two suspects within 24 hours of the incident.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, upon receiving information about the crime, the Karbala Police Chief, Major General Ahmed Ali Zuwayni, ordered the mobilization of all security formations within the Al-Hindiya district and the formation of a specialized team to investigate the circumstances and apprehend the perpetrators. The statement explained that the specialized security teams initiated investigations, gathering and cross-referencing information, along with technical and investigative procedures, and were able to identify and arrest the suspects in record time.

The necessary legal measures have been taken against them, and they have been referred to the competent judiciary to complete the legal proceedings against them so that they may receive their just punishment according to the law.
