Hagopian Presents His Credentials As Ambassador Of The Republic Of Iraq To The United States To The U.S. President


Washington: Ambassador Krikor Der Hagopian presented his credentials to U.S. President Donald Trump as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the United States during an official ceremony at the White House.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement noting that the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Iraqi government and expressed his pride in his appointment as ambassador to the United States. He stated that his mission priorities would focus on following up on the outcomes of the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States, building a new era in Iraqi-U.S. relations, deepening strategic ties, and expanding cooperation across political, economic, investment, and security sectors. The ambassador emphasized the goal of bolstering Iraq’s regional role and serving the mutual interests of both countries and their peoples.
