Najaf: During the Friday prayer sermon in Najaf, Sadr al-Din al-Qubanchi addressed political and educational matters, warning against any threat to Iraq’s security and political stability and the potential repercussions for the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these remarks were made during the political segment of the Friday sermon delivered by al-Qubanchi in Najaf today. On the political front, and on the eve of Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s anticipated visit to the United States, al-Qubanchi warned that undermining the foundations of Iraq’s security and political stability could ignite a comprehensive crisis affecting the entire region.

Regarding education, al-Qubanchi criticized the delay in the start of the new academic year and called for the education sector’s issues to be addressed. He also praised the stance taken by the people, religious scholars, and tribes of Basra in opposing activities that violate societal values.

At the local level, al-Qubanchi commended the efforts of the Holy Al-Alawi Shrine in organizing events marking the millennium of the Najaf Religious Seminary (Hawza). On the Arab and Islamic fronts, he emphasized the importance of preserving the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina, following reports of a missile attack, and warned against attempts to incite discord and turn public opinion against Iraq and Yemen.
