Baghdad:King Abdullah Sports City Stadium: The Qatari national football team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 27th Gulf Cup, following a narrow 1-0 victory against Yemen.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the decisive match took place on Sunday evening as part of the second round of Group B fixtures. Yousef Abdurisag scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute, securing Qatar’s second consecutive win in the tournament.

Qatar’s Akram Afif missed a penalty in the 73rd minute, which could have doubled the team’s lead. Despite this, Qatar remains at the top of the group with six points.

Qatar will now look to continue its successful run in the final group stage match, while Yemen has experienced its second defeat in the tournament.
