Tripoli:The Iraqi Embassy in Libya is actively monitoring the situation of Iraqi nationals amidst severe weather and flash floods affecting various regions in Libya.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, the Chargé d’Affaires at the Iraqi Embassy, emphasized the embassy’s vigilance over the conditions impacting the Iraqi community in the Western Mountain areas southwest of Tripoli, as well as in southwestern and central Libya. These regions are currently experiencing significant weather disturbances.

Al-Sahhaf has urged the Iraqi community to remain cautious, adhere to the guidance of local authorities, and prioritize their safety. The embassy has taken steps to support those in need by setting up emergency contact numbers and coordinating with Libyan officials to provide necessary services.

Ensuring the safety of Iraqi citizens in Libya is a primary concern for the embassy. They have advised individuals to avoid areas susceptible to flash floods and to exercise caution when traveling.
