Baghdad:Minister of Finance Falih Al-Sari announced that the Ministry has submitted the draft federal budget for 2027 to the Ministerial Council for Economy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sari confirmed that the Ministry completed the budget draft within the designated timeframes. The preparation of the budget includes the gradual adoption of “program and performance-based budgeting” specifically within the electricity sector and in the governorates of Diwaniyah and Salah al-Din.

The draft budget aligns with the government’s program priorities, taking into consideration economic and financial changes, spending priorities, and the needs of significant societal segments, all within the constraints of available financial resources.
