Tehran:Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has criticized US President Donald Trump’s comments about the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting they are not grounded in reality.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ghalibaf pointed out that oil prices have surged by $35 above pre-war levels, reaching $50 according to spot prices, which contradicts Trump’s statements.

Ghalibaf tweeted that either the market is irrational for purchasing oil at such high prices or the American narrative is misleading the public.
