Baghdad:Sabah Al-Nu’man, the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, announced that individuals involved in the recent incident with the American flag in Baghdad have been arrested.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Nu’man stated that the arrests were made following orders from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Falih Al-Zaidi. The incident took place during a parade connected to the ‘Sovereignty Day’ events.

Al-Nu’man emphasized that anyone found involved in the act will face legal consequences as per Iraqi laws and diplomatic standards. He reiterated the government’s commitment to respecting the symbols of friendly nations and accredited diplomatic missions in Iraq, warning that any violations will lead to legal accountability.
