Iraq’s Oil Minister Reports Crisis Easing and Economic Support Measures


Baghdad:Iraq’s Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi affirmed that the country is emerging from difficult circumstances and noted that the crisis is beginning to subside.



According to the Iraqi News Agency, Al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the crisis task force to discuss operations related to crude oil production, petroleum derivatives, and export capacities. During the meeting, he congratulated the Iraqi people on Sovereignty Day and National Day.



The Oil Minister emphasized that the Ministry is taking confident steps to support the national economy by increasing production and enhancing export capacities. He highlighted the Ministry’s role as a crucial component in supporting infrastructure and the economy.



Al-Abadi acknowledged the operational challenges faced by the oil sector but expressed optimism, crediting the determination of the sector’s personnel for providing the hope needed to overcome the crisis and maintain a unified team spirit.
