Najaf:Najaf Al-Ashraf International Airport received its first Iranian flight today from Tehran, marking the resumption of air travel between Iran and Iraq.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Mustafa Kubba, the Media Director at Najaf Al-Ashraf International Airport, confirmed that the flight was operated by Iran’s Caspian Airlines and carried over 150 passengers.
The airport management had previously announced the resumption of flights with Iran, with three evening flights scheduled to operate from today. The flights had been suspended for over nine days prior to this resumption.
