Iranian Parliament Ties Strait of Hormuz Opening to Conditions

Tehran: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf announced that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz hinges on fulfilling seven specific conditions outlined in a memorandum of understanding.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Qalibaf emphasized the necessity of meeting these conditions, stating that the strait will remain closed until they are satisfied. He highlighted the importance of moving beyond unilateral demands and the era of stalling for time, which he attributed to Washington’s approach.

Qalibaf further noted that despite public statements, the United States has recently communicated new proposals through intermediaries, indicating ongoing diplomatic engagements.
