Iraq’s Electricity Minister Presses Siemens for Project Completion


Baghdad:The Electricity Minister of Iraq, Ali Saadi Waheeb, has called on the German Ambassador to Iraq, Daniel Kreber, to encourage Siemens to expedite the completion of its projects in the country. This appeal was made to ensure that Siemens fulfills its commitments and meets the scheduled timelines, which are crucial for the ministry’s plans to enhance the electricity sector.



According to the National Iraqi News Agency, the minister met with the ambassador at the ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they explored opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Iraq and Germany in the field of electrical energy.



The discussions also included strategies to expand collaboration and leverage German expertise in the implementation and development of electricity-sector projects. This approach aims to fortify the partnership between the two nations and bolster the ministry’s efforts to improve the national power system’s performance.
