Iraqi Crude Oil Exports to Jordan Suspended Due to Technical Issues

Siena:The Ministry of Oil has announced the suspension of Iraqi crude oil exports to Jordan, citing technical issues related to crude oil specifications.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Salim Al-Rikabi, a spokesperson for the ministry, explained that the suspension is linked to the types of crude oil suitable for Jordanian refineries. Previously, Jordanian refineries processed light Kirkuk crude, which is currently unavailable.

Al-Rikabi stated that Iraq proposed supplying medium Basra crude as an alternative. However, Jordanian refineries are unable to process this type of crude oil, leading to the continued halt in exports.
