Iran Criticizes U.S. Response to Conditions for Hormuz Strait Negotiations

Tehran:Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, stated that Tehran had communicated seven conditions to the United States about two weeks ago, linking the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and negotiations to these conditions being met.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Washington responded to Iran’s demands, accepting some conditions, but left others unclear. Tehran finds the response insufficient and is seeking clarifications on the ambiguous points.

Rezaei elaborated that over the past two months, the United States communicated with Iran through Pakistan, Qatar, and Iraq, requesting Iranian proposals. He emphasized that Tehran is no longer waiting for a response but is instead assessing the reply it has received.
