Accra:According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense has issued a call to the public to report any information about missing Iraqi and Kuwaiti nationals. This appeal is specifically directed at citizens, including those residing in the governorates of Basra, Dhi Qar, Holy Karbala, Al-Muthanna, Anbar, Baghdad, and others. Former employees, officers, and personnel are also urged to contribute any knowledge they might have.
The appeal comes more than three decades after the Second Gulf War, a period during which some families have waited in vain for news about their missing loved ones. Tragically, some family members have passed away without ever learning the fate of their children.
The Ministry suggested that even incomplete information—such as memories of an unusual burial, the arrival of unidentified individuals, specific vehicles, names, or entries in records—could be significant. They emphasized that sharing such information is a humanitarian duty, serving the nation and fulfilling a responsibility towards the families of those still missing.
