Jakarta:The Ministry of Defense has issued a call for information regarding missing Iraqis and Kuwaitis, urging citizens to come forward with any relevant details.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry’s appeal is directed at all citizens, including those residing in the governorates of Basra, Dhi Qar, Karbala, Al-Muthanna, Anbar, Baghdad, and other areas, as well as employees, officers, and former members. This initiative focuses on individuals who went missing as a result of the Second Gulf War, which occurred over thirty years ago. Many families are still awaiting news of their loved ones, with some family members having passed away without learning the fate of their relatives.
The Ministry highlighted the importance of recalling any unusual events such as burials, the arrival of unidentified individuals, vehicles, names, or entries in registers. Even partial information could be significant. It emphasized that providing such information is considered a humanitarian duty and a responsibility towards the families of the missing.
The Ministry encourages individuals from all governorates to communicate any information confidentially through designated contact numbers. A generous financial reward is promised to those who provide information that leads to positive outcomes.
