Ministry of Defense Seeks Information on Missing Gulf War Nationals

Dhaka:The Ministry of Defense has issued a call for information regarding missing Iraqi and Kuwaiti nationals.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry has appealed to citizens across various governorates, including Basra, Dhi Qar, Holy Karbala, Al-Muthanna, Anbar, and Baghdad, as well as former military personnel, to provide any details about individuals who disappeared during the Second Gulf War.

Despite the passage of over thirty years, many families remain in the dark about the fate of their loved ones, with some relatives having passed away without closure. The Ministry urged people to report any recollections of unusual burials, the appearance of unidentified individuals, specific vehicles, names, or entries in records, even if the details are incomplete, as they may hold significant value.

The Ministry stressed that sharing such information is a humanitarian obligation that serves both the nation and the families of the missing.
