Tunis:Parliament Speaker Haibet Al-Halbousi reaffirmed Iraq’s support for an independent Palestinian state with Qudis as its capital during a meeting on Saturday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Halbousi met with Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin. The discussion focused on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Palestine, alongside issues faced by Palestinians residing in Iraq.

Al-Halbousi emphasized Iraq’s consistent stance in advocating for the rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to establish a state with Qudis as the capital.
